The Playbook Public Relations, LLC team, lead by Sally Dee, brings over 30 years of branding, marketing and media outreach experience to the organization. Through a thorough discovery process our team identifies your company’s needs and then we create a unique “Playbook” to help your business succeed at every level. We offer services in traditional and digital marketing, branding, graphic design, copywriting, website design and development, email campaigns, search engine optimization (SEO), blog writing, media buying and social media management.
Sally Dee, Principal & Marketing Strategist
Sally is the principal and founder of Playbook Public Relations, LLC. She started her career as a professional golfer and played on the Asian, Futures, and LPGA Tour. She had five top 10 finishes on the LPGA Tour before she was forced to retire unexpectedly because of an elbow injury. While on tour Sally always had a passion for the “business side” of golf. She acted as her own agent and created a successful marketing and branding strategy that helped secured endorsements with Callaway, Nike, Adidas, Titleist, Yes! Golf, Alpha Golf, AccuFlex Shafts and Lacoste over the course of her career. In 2004, she was crowned World Long Drive Champion at the ReMax Long Drive Championship in Mesquite, Nevada. She also was a contestant on the Golf Channel’s Big Break X.
After her golf career ended, Sally had successful a sales career with two different Fortune 500 firms. Here she developed extensive knowledge of small and medium sized businesses needs and helped her clients develop successful marketing and branding strategies. Sally has expertise in branding, marketing strategy, social media management, search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO), mobile website development and website design.
In 2011, Sally graduated with high honors from the University of South Florida’s MBA program with certifications in Marketing Strategy and Designing Sustainable Enterprise. While going to school full-time, Sally was the graduate assistant for the USF Women’s Golf Team. She also received a full scholarship from the Kosove Honor Society. Kosove Scholarships recipients are selected because of their dedication to academic excellence and community service work.
In 2012, Sally was inducted into the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame. She prides herself on bringing her competitive drive to win to all of the clients Playbook serves. “I have one basis to measure success: winning. Playbook Public Relations, LLC wins only when our clients succeed.”
Sarah Lesch, Social Media Manager
Sarah joins our team with a multi-faceted background in Marketing. Originally, from North Andover, MA, Sarah moved to Tampa to attend the University of Tampa where she earned a BS in Marketing. She then spent several years working in the media business; first in radio at Clear Channel Communications and then in television at Sci-Fi Channel. She was also on the enterprising team of start-up internet company, ShopTalk, designing targeted marketing campaigns.
When her children were born, she took a break from the long hours of her marketing job to take care of her children and start her own business as a yoga instructor. This experience as a small business owner helps her to relate to so many of Playbook Public Relations, LLC’s clients. Her work in the field of yoga has helped her to define her heart-focused approach to business, an approach our entire team shares. This approach guides our social media campaigns and works with Playbook Public Relations’ corporate ethics of engaging people and building strong brand connections.
She believes people want to connect to businesses and buy from companies that they can relate to. She helps translate our clients’ passion into consumer driven messages that engage people and build strong brand connections.
Sarah has a knack for understanding people, thus, this skill translates into her uncanny ability to create messages that are clear, creative and have wide-spread appeal. This approach guides her as the Social Media Campaign Manager here at Playbook Public relations, LLC.
Kevin Sanford, Creative Manager
With more than 13 years of award winning agency experience, as well as 7 years in the architecture field, Kevin brings a well-rounded creative background to the PBPR team. In 2008, his creative work for Hillsborough Kids Foster Program earned him a prestigious ADDY award for graphic design.
Creativity has always been a part of his life. Kevin began playing the drums at 10 years old, and has played in several bands since the age of 15. Along with his tremendous graphical design expertise, Kevin also records and produces music out of his home studio.
Kevin earned a degree in Graphic Design from the International Academy of Design & Technology in Tampa, FL, and a degree in Architectural and Cad Technology at the Porter & Chester Institute in Enfield, CT.
Richie Bryan, Graphic Designer
Richie is our resident graphic designer, artist and copywriter. He combines an eye for design with the business logistics of advertising and public relations to help clients develop their image and messaging. Richie’s core strengths also include creative writing, branding, print and web design, as well as social media and SEO.
Richie also strategizes on web development, presentations and helps mentor the company’s creative personnel. Prior to Playbook Public Relations, LLC, Richie worked for the Orlando Chamber of Commerce, Orange County Animal Services and AdSatisfaction as a graphic designer and copywriter. Richie has also developed creative materials as a freelance designer for world-class triathletes Dirk Bockel and Jimmy Johnsen, and produced logos, websites, graphics and collateral for scores of other brands.
Richie attended the University of Central Florida on scholarship where he graduated with honors and received a double degree in Graphic Design and Advertising/Public Relations. For years he has participated in the Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honors Society, The Orlando InDesign User Group, AIGA the professional association for design and the American Advertising Federation.
Kevin McCarthy, Web Developer
Kevin has a strong technological foundation and is passionate about multimedia, but mainly specializes in creative web development. From a young age he has been fascinated by the inner workings and psychology behind illusion and magic tricks. This, combined with a strong mathematical background, led to a strict “program-like” mindset ideal for web scripting. He uses his experience in PHP, Apache, HTML, CSS, and jQuery as well as outstanding Search Engine Optimization (SEO) knowledge for Playbook Public Relations, LLC and its clients alike. In late 2005, Kevin became an Apple certified professional film editor. He has received a myriad of awards and honorable mentions for his productions throughout the years, the most recent being a commercial advertisement for Frito Lay’s new ‘All Natural’ campaign.
